Ezina or Planter?
If you've planned a vegetable garden on your phone, you've probably seen Planter. It lays out beds as grids and dates your planting from your frost dates. We built Ezina for the whole garden, indoor and out, food included. Here is how the two compare on what they do, what they cost, and what they do with your data.

Give Dig an address and it pulls your lot line and your house, finds every tree around it from a laser survey, and casts their shade for every daylight hour. Planter's beds are grids you draw by hand, with no sun.

It finds frost pockets and wet ground
From 1-meter elevation data, Dig shows where cold air settles and where rain runs and gathers, so beds go where they'll do well. Planter dates planting from your area's frost dates, not the spot in your yard.

Questions about switching
Is Ezina cheaper than Planter?
No. Planter Premium is $24.99 a year, or $99.99 once, and its free plan includes one garden and the planting calendar. Ezina is $70 a year at launch ($50 for Early Access seats), after a 14-day trial with no card.
Does either app show ads?
Ezina shows none, and its Transparency Promise commits to never running them. Planter's pricing page sells Premium as removing ads from the free version.
Can I move my plants from Planter to Ezina?
Not automatically. We didn't check whether Planter can export, so plan to add plants to Ezina one at a time or by photo identification.
Where can I use each app?
Ezina is in Early Access on iPhone and Android in the contiguous U.S. Planter is available on iPhone, Android and the web, in English.
